On the weekend of June 4-5, 2011, His Grace, Bishop Peter of Cleveland, visited the parish of St George the Great Martyr in Cincinnati, Ohio, accompanied by Protodeacon Vadim Gan, reader Andrei Urtiew, and reader Geoffrey Adamson.  Also visiting was priest Ilia Marzev, dean of the cathedral of St Sergius of Radonezh in Cleveland, Ohio; and Deacon Antony Alekseyenko of Detroit.   Archpriest Paul Bassett, rector of St George, and priest Pavel Akmolin joyfully welcomed Vladika Peter to Cincinnati and thanked him for his prayers and support in the efforts to build a new church building.  Singers from the St Sergius parish as well as reader Alexander Alekseyenko of NY helped to make the choir, led by Kurt (reader Lawrence) Sander, especially joyous.  After the festive Divine Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners gathered on the site of the property on which, God willing, the future church temple will be built soon.  Vladika Peter celebrated the service of the blessing of land upon which a church is to be built, and priests Ilia and Pavel blessed the entire property with holy water.  A beautiful wooden cross was erected on the site as well.  Vladika Peter exhorted the faithful to not let fear stop them from going forward with their plans.  After the blessing, a lunch was served in the park directly adjacent to the beautiful property in Loveland, Ohio.
