The funeral for Archbishop Peter took place on Saturday, November 16, 2024. 

Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York led both the Divine Liturgy and the funeral this day. Other hierarchs which participated in the funeral were:

Metropolitan Longin, Archbishop of New Gracanica-Midwestern America (Serbian Orthodox Church)

Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and Mid-West (OCA)

Bishop John of Caracas and South America (ROCOR)

Bishop James of Sonora, Second Vicar of the Western American Diocese (ROCOR)

Bishop Seraphim of Kostajnica  (Serbian Orthodox Church)

A vast number of clergyman from the diocese, most of whom were ordained by Archbishop Peter, participated in the funeral, as well as many visiting clergyman. As was evidenced by the large number of participants in the funeral, and the significant number of faithful who attended, Archbishop Peter was greatly loved and respected by all. 

Following the funeral and procession, Archbishop Peter's earthly remains were transported to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York, where his Eminence will be buried on Monday, November 18th, 2024.
