With Archbishop Peter’s blessing we are pleased to announce that on Monday, December 27, 2022/January 9, 2023 (the third day of the feast of the Nativity of our Lord), His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, will make his first official visit to our Mid-American diocese. His Eminence will lead the Divine Services for the feast of St. Stephen at the Holy Virgin Protection Diocesan Cathedral in Des Plaines, IL and will accompany the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God on his visit. Vestment color is white/gold. Deacons are asked to bring green orarions.

Evening Services will be held on January 8 at 6:00 p.m.

Meeting of the Metropolitan on January 9 will be at 9:00 a.m.
