The Skete of St. John the Theologian marked its secondary altar feast on October 9. His Eminence Archbishop Peter prayed in the altar at the All Night Vigil on the eve of the feast and led the Divine Liturgy on the feast day itself. In addition to Archbishop Peter, the following clergymen took part in the festivities:

Archimandrite Dosethius (Kiev Theological Academy)

Archpriest Victor Trotskyy (Dormition Cathedral, Ferndale, MI)

Archpriest Gregory Joyce (St. Vladimir Church, Ann Arbor, MI)

Archpriest Ilya Marzev (St. Sergius Cathedral, Cleveland, OH)

Priest Seraphim Wing (St. Nichloas, Edinborough, PA, Moscow Patriarchate)

Hieromonk Nektary (Member of the Brotherhood of St. John Skete)

Priest Michael Lillie (Nativity of Christ Church, Moscow Patriarchate)

Deacon Nikolai Lochmatow (Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral, Des Plaines, IL)

Following the Divine Liturgy the brotherhood offered a festive meal to the guests. Hieromonk Nektary then provided a tour of the property to Archbishop Peter, highlighting the changes that had taken place there since Vladyka’s last visit.
