Pan-0rthodox Service on Thanksgiving Day
On the secular holiday of Thanksgiving (Apostle Philip by the church calendar), the Cathedral of the Protection of the Mother of God in Chicago hosted a Pan-Orthodox service which has been a tradition in the area amongst Orthodox churches of different jurisdictions for many years. Con-celebrating with Bishop Peter were clergy from nearby Greek, Serbian, Georgian, Antiochian and Ukrainian Orthodox churches. After the liturgy, parishioners and guests in attendance were invited to a traditional Thanksgiving luncheon prepared by the cathedral sisterhood.
