The Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America Youth Committee is hosting a Retreat on the fifth weekend of Great Lent (the Sunday commemorating St. Mary of Egypt): Friday evening, 3/30 - Sunday, 4/1. This event is open to all Orthodox Christian youth of college and graduate student age. Join us during this Great Lent to reflect upon your spiritual state and contemplate the great mystery of Repentance.
Our guest speaker is Hieromonk Serafim (Baltic) of New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery. We will gather on the scenic grounds of Vladimirovo, the diocesan retreat property near Rock City, IL. Meals will be provided on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.
The total cost of participation, meals and lodging is $75.
We are asking all participants to read the article, "Conscience: God's Voice in Mankind" by Bishop Alexander (Mileant) prior to attending the Retreat. This article is available here:
