St. John Kochurov SocietyA Diocesan Stewardship Organization
At the 2009 Diocesan Assembly of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America, delegates proposed the founding of a fellowship of stewards to facilitate and strengthen the life and ministry of our diocese.
The initiative was given the heavenly patronage of St. John Kochurov, a missionary priest in the American Mid-West who returned to his homeland and became the first priest-martyr under the Soviets. The proposal was approved by the delegates and given the blessing of Bishop Peter.
Each member of the Society commits to support the diocese financially for the year of their membership. Giving levels begin at $100 per year.
