Archbishop Peter Visits Milwaukee Parish

On Sunday, October 26/November 8, 2020 His Eminence, Archbishop Peter of Chicago & Mid-America, led the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity parish in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This was the final service as Rector for Archpriest Vasily Zelenyuk, who has been leading this parish for more than a decade. Fr. Vasily is leaving Milwaukee for a parish in Florida with the blessing of Archbishop Peter.

Fr. Vasily gave thanks to Archbishop Peter for his hierarchal visit, as well to Protodeacon Alexander and Lyuba Kichakov, Archpriest Mark Todorovich, Hierodeacon Gorazd (Kamolov) for the joint Divine Service all these years.

He also thanked the head of the choir Elizaveta Pook, the entire choir, readers and altar servers, for their help in the Divine Services; the Parish Council, Sisterhood and Brotherhood of the Parish.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy thanksgiving gramotas were presented to John Petryuk and Sergei Bagdasaryan for their service to the Holy Church.

Also serving at the Divine Liturgy was Archimandrite Filaret (Raskovsky), who has been appointed to serve in Milwaukee for the foreseeable future.

Having served the Divine Liturgy and bid farewell to Fr. Vasily and thanked him for his labors in Milwaukee, while encouraging the faithful to work closely with Fr. Filaret in his new role.
