Metropolitan Hilarion visited St. Benedict parish in Oklahoma City the weekend of July 23/24 for the parish feast dayt of St. Benedict. It was Vladyka's second visit to Oklahoma City, his first as Metropolitan. He presided at the Saturday morning Divine Liturgy of St. Gregory the Dialogist for the feast of St. Anthony of the Kiev Caves, and bestowed the Pontifical Blessing on the congregation during the Liturgy. Other clergy joining the Metropolitan and the rector, Protopriest Anthony Nelson, for the weekend included: Hieromonk Josua Anna of St. George Hermitage in Belen, NM., Hieromonk Aidan Keller of Holy Protection Parish in Austin, TX., Fr. Sergei Kapitan of St. Michael the Archangel Mission in Houston, TX, Protodeacon Alexander Kichakov of Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Des Plaines, Il., Deacon Zachary Rose - who was ordained to the holy Priesthood on Sunday - and his father, Deacon Theodore.

Services for the Parish Feast of St. Benedict began with the All Night Vigil on Saturday and then the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom on Sunday with the Molieben to St. Benedict and Cross Procession. Following the Liturgy, a catered meal was served in the parish hall, attended by 90-plus persons gathered in honor of the Feast and of our beloved Metropolitan Hilarion.
