On the weekend of October 4-5, several parishes of the Chicago and Mid-America Diocese participated in the annual Pilgrimage Weekend at the Holy Cross Monastery near Wayne, West Virginia.  Metropolitan Hilarion officiated the services at the Monastery, joined by nearly 30 clergymen.  Among them were Fr. Paul Bassett of St. George's Church (Cincinnati, OH), Fr. Ilia Marzev of St. Sergius Cathedral (Cleveland, OH), and Fr. Daniel Marshall of Holy Virgin Protection Church (Goshen, IN).  Reader Lawrence Sander, Choir director at St. George's Church, and Reader Alexander Petrovsky, Choir director at St. Sergius Cathedral, and Reader Andrew Rodzianko also chanted with the Monastery choir.  A great number of pilgrims of all ages travelled to the Monastery from St. George's Church, St. Sergius Cathedral, Holy Virgin Protection Church, and St. Vladimir's Church (Ann Arbor, MI).
